The Beneteau 281 is a great size boat for coastal cruising and lake sailing. The ample sized cockpit holds 8 adults and has the popular stern rails seats! The reliable Yanmar diesel pushes it along at 5-6 knots for easy motoring in and out of the dock or for when the wind dies. Below decks there’s a large v berth which converts back to table seating. A nav station, galley with stove and icebox, large head with sink/hand held shower and a huge aft berth. The engine is located under the companionway steps for easy access and maintenance. This unit has the stack pack option for up down mainsail into a sail cover/lazy jack system. The owner has moved away and is not using it. Located at our marina, still in the water. Nice boat for a young family to get started on safely without a huge expense.
