Description in detail
This picturesque village B&B was created from the ruins of an ancient castle that in 1629 was partially destroyed by the Ghibellini's guild of Siena who were fighting against the florentine Guelfi's guild. The dominant position of the Castle made it strategically important for controlling communication between Florence and Siena.
During the restoration of the Castle, great care was taken in recreating the original external features that were designed to reproduce, as closely as possible, the original ones. Always using the original stone works taken from the old fortress, in order to recreate the atmosphere of the past.

Borgo Antico is conveniently located just walking distance from the historical Square of Greve in Chianti and all its facilities but is also perfectly situated in a quiet and panoramic hillside, nestling deep amidst vineyards and olive groves offering beautiful extensive views over the surrounding landscape of Chiantishire.

The estate itself measures a total of 1ha in terrain, but there are additional hectares of surrounding land available to be purchased up to 24-25 hectares, including vineyards and olive groves.
