The Liberty 45 is an excellent offshore, center cockpit, live-a-board cruiser that has already crossed the Atlantic twice and has a great heritage. Built into the proven hull design of the Jack Kelly 44 (with over 200 hulls sailing) Peter Hoyt designed the interior and deck to an extended hull version. Started in the early 1980's, Liberty Yachts, to mean \"freedom\", built 31 boats ending in 1988. They were built to a higher standard than Taiwan boats of the time, in the Shin Fa yard. The current owner is only the 2nd owner of the boat and has done some nice upgrades including new hull paint. The interior is beautifully finished in teak and has teak and holly floors, this vessel has the optional centerline queen bed in the master stateroom aft.

 The Liberty 458 is recognized as one of the finest offshore livaboard cruising sailing yachts ever built. They were designed by Doug Peterson who designed many great cruising boats. This Liberty was built by Shin Fa in Taiwan, a respected boat builder of the times, not so long ago. If you love boats, you will surely agree with the warm polished teak, bronze ports - amenities including china cabinets, excellent lighting, and all the elegance of times almost gone, but not yet gone! The cabin boasts extensive use of hand rubbed teak, teak and holly sole, warm interior lighting, strategically placed deck prisms for natural light, teak decks. All of the interior bulkheads are covered with solid teak vertical staving. All ceilings as well as the hull-sides have solid horizontal teak battens. There are marble counter tops in the heads. Turned solid teak banisters and thick handrails on either side of the companionway steps give you the first indication of what you are about to enter. Living aboard is comfortable with excessive amounts of storage throughout the vessel, a very usable sea galley that boasts marble counter-tops a refrigerator/freezer and three burner range and oven. The huge aft stateroom has magnificent storage, a raised queen bed and a head with shower. Opening ports starboard and port create excellent ventilation. The cabinetry abounds with a full length hanging locker, drawers and great storage everywhere.
