The Coakley House has a rich history dating back to the 1940s when it was built by a European entrepreneur named William Sigrist as a wedding gift to his daughter. The Coakley House was eventually sold to the British Government which used the home as a private residence for the Commander of the Royal Navy and many formal receptions attended by Her Royal Majesty, Queen Elizabeth.The estate consists of two main houses and two guest cottages. The second main house is called George’s Point. One cottage has been split up into two 1 bedroom apartments. A new dock has recently been built and can accommodate a large size yacht. The beautiful estate also offers a small private beach and a barbeque pit. The sweeping patio of the Coakley House offers breathtaking views of the Caribbean’s crystal blue waters. Near the house is also the third largest coral reef in the world, great for snorkeling and swimming.
