Area: Triquivijate

is a rural village and its main street boasts charming shops, village bars and restaurants with varied meat and fish menus. The most Famous with the locals is 'La Finca' serving local and international dishes where you can eat on the terrace while watching the stunning sunsets to the west as the sun drops below the mountains. Or you could enjoy a honey rum and tapas in one of the friendly local bars. The church in Triquivijate is dedicated to San Isidro, the patron saint of agriculture, built in 1715. In order to find it, just look for the scalloped wall which surrounds its grounds. The village has its own school as well. The village of Triquivijate is located just 10minutes from the airport and beach resort of Caleta de Fuste, and surrounded by stunning mountain views. Area: Caleta de Fuste/ Costa de Antigua

Located just 7km from the airport makes Caleta de Fuste one of the most popular resorts on the island. The resort boasts 2 stunning golden beaches and 2 excellent 18 hole golf courses. You will find many restaurants serving international and local food and drink. One great place for a relaxing meal while watching the beautiful sunsets is in the Marina which is located just a short stroll from the main promenade. The resort has many shops catering for all your needs ranging from quality leather goods to locally made aloe vera goods. There are many bars from quiet chillout bars too more lively music bars and late night discos. You can take a ride in the submarine that is moored in the marina and see the varied marine life just off the coast of Caleta, alternatively there are diving schools for the more adventurous. Being located in the middle of the island makes Caleta de Fuste an ideal base for exploring the rest of this beautiful island and the stunning beaches and lagoons to the north in El Cotillo and Corralejo, and to the south to Morro Jable, Jandia, Costa Calma and the bays and isolated beaches on the west coast. Just 2 km north of Caleta de Fuste you will find the salt museum. The Salt Museum is a cultural centre, showing an overview of the culture that was generated around the production of salt in Fuerteventura. Salt has been produced from the seawalter in Fuerteventura for centuries and exported around the world.

Area: Puerto Del Rosario

Puerto Del Rosario is the capital of Fuerteventura and has been since since 1860. This bustling town is situated next to sea and has the main port where you have both a mixture of commercial and tourist traffic from the many cruise ships arriving. The town itself is the main commercial centre of Fuerteventura where you will find all the main public offices courts and lawyers situated. As with many large towns you will find a myriad of all kinds of shops, bars and restaurants and many of the main shopping streets are paved. Puerto has the Las Rotundas shopping centre which has over 70,000 m2 of shopping and where you will find many of the familiar high street brands. The Islands capital has of course the main hospital for the island situated at the side of the FV1 and of course the main bus station it is the main transport hub for all the Islands buses. Fuerteventura's International airport is only a 5 minute taxi ride from the center of the town.
