"Parkview" is owned and operated by The Vasey Housing Association, N.S.W. with experience in the NSW retirement industry since 1962.

Officially opened on September 15, 1963 by the Founder of Vasey Housing, Mrs Jessie Mary Vasey BA, CBE, "Parkview" features 52 self-contained one bedroom apartments plus 3 studios and is conveniently located close to Waitara railway station, the Asquith Leagues Club, tennis courts and a bowling club.

Apartments range in size from 26sqm for the studios, and 35sqm for the one bedroom apartments. Each is secure and well appointed with window screens, carpet, light fittings, a phone line, Digital TV antenna and monitored fire alarm (including smoke and heat detectors) as standard inclusions. Studios comprise a combined living area/kitchen and bedroom with separate bathroom, while one bed apartments also have the bedroom separate plus an ensuite. Some may also include a balcony.

The village also provides shared laundry facilities and limited, separately leased onsite parking spaces.

All our apartments are designed for single living, offering many of the advantages of home ownership, but without the worries.

The Vasey Housing Association, N.S.W. is a not for profit organisation. It was founded by Jessie Mary Vasey, widow of one of Australia's most distinguished soldiers, Major General George Alan Vasey, CB,CBE,DSO, who was killed when his aircraft crashed in the mouth of the Barron River near Cairns.

Jessie was a pioneer in the fight to obtain justice for thousands of war widows. This led her to form the national War Widows Guild of Australia and, in 1959, The Vasey Housing Auxillary NSW.

Vasey's aim is to provide quality, affordable apartments and property management for single persons over the age of 55 who wish to enjoy an independent and dignified style of living.

A small team of dedicated staff and a Board of Directors willingly give their time and effort to ensure the high standards of the Association are maintained.
