JOB TITLE

SENIOR ENGINEER – Highways *** Hong Kong

Our client is one of the world’s leading design engineering and project management consultancies. They are currently looking for a high caliber candidate for the role of Senior Engineer (highways) to join the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for analyzing and monitoring current road systems and conditions
• Design new road layouts and traffic flow systems
• Implement new highway strategies and improve services and networks
• Ensure designs meet the approved regulations and standards and satisfy local authorities expectations, ie cost effective solutions, environmentally sustainable, work is completed to schedule
• Liaise with local authorities, councils, and police regarding accidents, noise, lighting, demand, traffic flow
• Report to Senior Engineers, Contractors and local authorities with detailed reports of improvements
• Assist on all related duties and tasks including overseeing works, ensure schedule is met, and offer alternative solutions on unforeseen issues.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Be a Chartered Engineer
• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 6 years relevant experience. Candidates having less experience will be considered as Highway Engineer
• Strong interest in highways and roadworks design
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
