Structural Design Engineer – Singapore

Our client are a multi-disciplinary specialist provider of detailed engineering, procurement and construction services to the offshore oil and gas, marine construction and other industries. The principal activities in their business includes services ranging from engineering, project management through the pre-construction planning, critical path development, construction / fabrication / site management, commissioning to the eventual hand over projects.

Job Description:
Support and assist the Engineering Manager
Design the structure according to technical requirement as defined by contract, class rules and specified standard within given quality, time and cost
Provide/prepare design calculation/Bill Of Materials /general arrangement / sectional drawings
Produce accurate assembly / detailed drawings within an agreed time scale
Ensure drawing lists are updated
Ensure production drawings and documents are completed and issued on time
Understand about the standard rules, class, authorities etc.
Prepare 3rd party approval submission documents
Investigate scope of re-work / modification bought forward by the Production
Perform engineering coordination / drafting (drawings) / checking when required

Requirements/Qualifications:
Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering with Staad Pro V8 knowledge
Min 8 years of working experiences in the same field
Good communication skills
Disciplined and structured work approach but flexible and adaptable to work environment and different cultures
Eager to learn and grow with the department and organization
