JOB TITLE

CIVIL & STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEERS (HONG KONG)

One of the leading main contractors in Hong Kong is looking for Civil & Structural Design Engineers to join their team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Accountable for all civil and structural design work

- Examine risks and structural integrity, calculate pressures, consider the strengths of -various materials

- Assist and review on detailed drawings and plans for civil and structural designs

- Responsible for submitting all Technical Drawings and work schedules for approval

- Proficient ability to lead design team: delegate tasks and complete work to Client deadline

- Liaise with Contractors, Clients, Architects

- Ensure designs fit Client requirements and specifications

- Ensure designs meet health and safety standards and regulations

- Throughout construction process, inspect all Structural work and overcome unforeseen design issues

- Attend and deliver meetings and presentations

- Must have previously worked on bridges/rails/substations/cut & cover/ temporary work designs.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Higher Diploma / Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering

- MUST have previous experience in design submissions and design auditing

- Member of HKIE (Structural or Civil) would be ADVANTAGEOUS

- Knowledgeable in software programs ie, ETABS, STAAD

- Self motivated individual, forward thinking with strong communication skills

- Minimum 5 years working experience

- Fluent in Cantonese and English.
