GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Main Accountabilities

Survey and analysis of ground foundation

Responsible for the production of design solutions and drawings, covering a range of project requirements from new build to modification, maintenance, refurbishment, foundation design and coordinating civil or structural engineering with geotechnical assessment.

Ensure rock slope stability, excavatability and earthworks material acceptability assessments are collated, construction supervision for geotechnical works including large scale earthworks, piling, soil nailing, rock bolting, and tunneling.

Responding to the contractors needs with respect to geotechnical queries and constructability/programme driven design changes.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical). A Masters Degree would be preferred.
Experience working for a major international consultancy would be advantageous.
Minimum 5 years experience
Good communication & interpersonal skills.
Highly self-motivated, good working attitude with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Good team player and adaptable to a dynamic environment.
