JOB TITLE

Principal Engineer (Electrical)

Our multi disciplinary, engineering consultancy client seeks a Principle Engineer for their Electrical team here in Hong Kong. You would become part of a growing team who expect you to contribute to the E&M division’s future successes in Hong Kong and China.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

Are you a degree qualified, chartered Engineer in Electrical/Building Services or related disciplines?
Do you have at least at least 10+ years post qualification experience in the design of Building Services systems?
You will be able to demonstrate your technical and management experience from a consultancy environment. The bulk of your experience will be related to E&M/Building Services design on building and infrastructure projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Analysing design requirements and recommending design solutions.
Managing the engineering resources of the company, ensuring projects are delivered on-time and within budget.
Ability to plan, direct and coordinate engineering assignments to ensure that they meet objectives, schedules and budgets.
Participating in design reviews with internal and external customers.
Technical direction of other engineering teams, drafters, test operators and technicians on specific work assignments.
Have excellent technical, people management and client facing skills.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Must be a degree qualified Electrical/Building Services Engineering or related disciplines.
Must be a member of recognised Engineering Institute; CIBSE, MHKIEE, MHKIElecE or similar.
Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience in an Engineering consultant’s environment.
Must possess good English and Cantonese communication skills. Candidate with Mandarin language skills will be at an advantage.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a self-motivated, innovative, mature, result-orientated attitude and ability to work independently.
