Safety Manager

Do you feel strongly about safety? Do you have strong interpersonal skills? Do you like working in a team? Our client is looking for a motivated Safety Manager to add to their already talented workforce.

Our client is an Asian based EPC with over 8 offices throughout the APAC region. The Client works on various projects from Oil & Gas to Petrochemical and Pharmaceuticals. Our client is ISO14000 ISO 9000 and OHSAS certified.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Main Accountabilities
• Anticipate and diagnose hazardous conditions and practices.
• Evaluate dangerous conditions and create hazard controls.
• Put hazard control programs in place and manage their effectiveness.
• Oversee the implementation and training for health and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with government and company HSE regulations
• Stay up-to-date with new HSE changes imposed by regulatory authorities.
• Produce monthly reports regarding accomplishments, gaps, and progress of improvement plans.

BACKGROUND:

Our client is one of the largest Oil and Gas companies in the South East Asian Region. With a workforce of 6,500 employees and a strong presence in over eight countries, our client delivers top-notch engineering, procurement and construction services to various clients around the globe. The client is ISO14000 ISO 9000 and OHSAS certified.

PRE-REQUISITES:
• Bachelors degree in engineering/degree in HSE Technology.
• Min 8 years experience in health and safety, or in an engineering or operations role with a safety requirement (preferably in the oil and gas industry).
• Knowledge of relevant industry regulatory requirements.
