JOB TITLE

SENIOR ARCHITECT / TEAM LEAD – LUXURY RESIDENTIAL DESIGN (BASED IN ISKANDAR, MALAYSIA)

Our client’s full service architectural office, established in the heart of Nusajaya, is uniquely positioned to meet the ever-increasing demand for design, project management and qulaity control excellence in Iskandar.

They have over the 35 years of experience delivering world class projects ranging from luxury residential design to large scale masterplanning, including design and project management of multi-billion dollar entertainment complexes – across the Americas, Europe and now South East Asia.

Our client prides themselves on having a dynamic yet pliable ethos, which makes them more ‘flexible’ than the ‘typical’ corporate.

JOB • To ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• To translate client requirements effectively into sharp and accurate proposals
• To lead a team of junior-mid level designers and draftsmen
• Report directly to Company Owners
• Responsible for project management including attending meetings, producing meeting minutes, site reviews, liaising with consultants, suppliers, contractors, etc.
• Ensure compliance of drawings with local authority requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• You must have at least 15 years of Architectural experience within the hospitality OR High-End Residential sectors
• Excellent knowledge of local construction codes and bylaws, including permit applications
• Registered Architect is a plus
• Can you demonstrate a proven track record, with a compelling portfolio to match?
• You must have a Degree or Diploma in Architecture
• You must have excellent knowledge of AutoCAD
• You have a sharp creative mind, with the ability to see angles which others can’t
• You must be able to put together construction documentation with little or no supervision
• Able to work independently
• You will ideally have some knowledge and experience of working in the upscale hospitality/resorts projects / high-end residential.
• Ability to motivate, hire, and manage a team of 6-12 people.
• Possess own transport
