Location
Carquairanne is a medium sized and lively little town of 10 000 inhabitants, halfway between Toulon and Hyeres. The town has two parts: an upper one with the ancient village and a lower one around the small leisure harbour. The harbour shelters 400 moorings and a fleet of small fishing boats ensures supply of fresh and local fish for the numerous restaurants. This lively harbour is just a 10 minute walk from the residence.

Carquairanne is nestled between a jagged coastline and a soft landscape of hills planted in pine trees and mimosas going by the welcoming names of Mont du Paradis or Mont des Oiseaux, on a rich and vast plain dedicated to wine and flowers growing. The region offers numerous other natural wonders such as the amazing Rade de Toulon, an immense natural harbour, or the Colle Noire mountain and its panorama on the island of Riou, the Sicie Cape and the peninsula of Giens and Hyeres, in other words endless ideas of excursions. For city excursions and a little bit of shopping or cultural visits Aix-en-Provence, Bandol, Bormes-les-Mimosas, Le Lavandou, Marseille, Cannes, St-Tropez, Ste Maxime and Port Grimaud are within one hour drive while Cassis - Les Calanques, le Grand Canyon du Verdon, offer other natural wonders.
