Situated on the edge of the Armorique National Park, 40 mins from the coast and within walking distance of the village shop, bar and school. This lovely 2-bed stone cottage has beautiful views, a pretty garden and a small paddock. The attic has the potential to convert into additional accommodation. The cottage is a short drive from the market towns of Carhaix and Callac and an hour from the ferry port at Roscoff.
The cottage is cosy and comfortable and is currently a British-owned second home. Whilst there are currently two bedrooms (both on the ground floor), the attic space could easily be converted to create a third bedroom if required (subject to the usual planning consents). There is also a useful basement that incorporates a garage.
The garden is planted with easy-maintenance in mind. Mature shrubs, trees and hedges mean the garden is pretty, but easily managed. There is plenty of space for parking and also a small paddock that would be perfect for a horse or could be turned into a veg garden.
The cottage is on the outskirts of the village of Plourac'h, where there is a village shop/bar (run by the local mayor). The beaches along the beautiful Pink Granite Coastline are with easy reach and the area is renowned for the fantastic walking and cycling routes.
The nearby towns of Callac and Carhaix both have good amenities such as supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, doctors etc. Thursday and Saturdays are market days, where you can join in all the hustle and bustle or just sit back with a coffee and watch the world go by.
This part of Brittany has great links with the UK. There are the Roscoff and Saint Malo ferry ports and the airports at Dinard, Brest and Rennes. The cottage is also just 30mins from Guingamp which has a TGV route direct to Paris.

If you're overwhelmed by the sheer volume of French property on the internet then visit the La Résidence website. You'll notice we keep things simple and we go for quality over quantity. We're UK-based, we're selective about the properties we take on, and we market predominantly British-owned properties.
