Agios Dimitrianos

If you take the E712 from Polis, travel through the small, rural villages of Lasa and Fyti, you will eventually arrive at the entrance to the hilly village of Agios Dimitrianos (Agios Demetrianos) with its welcoming sign. Next to the welcome sign you'll see an old water basin that used to provide the inhabitants' livestock with water.

This is a sleepy rural village, like most villages in Cyprus there is a small church and within the stone-paved square stands the old primary school, which now houses the village's medical center, a community information office and public conveniences. There are many stone houses in this village, a number of which have been lovingly restored for those wanting to escape the hustle of the city for a much quieter life.

There are two coffee houses in Agios Dimitrianos with one of them serving as the local shop and post office.
