Colgate 26 sailboats are wonderful mid-sized sailboats for day sailing, sailing lessons and sailboat racing.  Olympic and America's Cup sailor Steve Colgate and renowned naval architect Jim Taylor, designed the Colgate 26 with sailboat safety top of mind. They wanted a fast sailboat for racing, a comfortable sailboat for \"just messing around in boats\", and a great sailboat for teaching sailing fundamentals and sailboat racing techniques.

The Colgate 26 sailboat is a fast, high performance keelboat, with well-thought-out safety and ergonomic features that make it not only fun to sail, but very safe in any wind and sea conditions. It has positive foam flotation, rendering it unsinkable.

Colgate 26s are still being made today.  New ones cost around $50,000.
