The Catalina 27 is truly one of the best starter boats ever built. The Catalina formula, start with a roomy comfortable cockpit, add a great interior layout good for weekending, toss in very good performance, and you end up with a great sailboat.
She has been maintained, but there is rot in the main bulkhead, next to the mast support post, from a cabin top leak, at most likely the step bolts or, due to wiring leaks.
She has the potential to be a very great boat and has been used in her present condition, without any problems. This is a fresh water sailed Catalina 27 and is available for viewing, in Pentwater, MI., with an appointment only.
