3 bedroom House For Sale: 3537 Highway..

There are moments - like this one - when I genuinely appreciate the opportunity of presenting a property in Cape Breton. This 5 acre parcel has virtually everything Cape Breton is noted for: an ocean front that is an easy walk with a gradual and short pitch to the sandy beach front; usually delightful cool sea breezes, which also minimize the bugs; a very satisfying ocean panorama, with fishing boats in season; a lovely ridge vista inland; and the house! And what a house! Although built 25 years ago, the first step snide leaves one wondering whether the dates are wrong. The place is simply charmingly comfortable and genuinely lovely. The more than 2200 square feet include 4 bedrooms, exquisite hardwood flooring, a chef's delight of a kitchen, dreamy peacefulness throughout in an extremely solidly built home. The sunken family room has a fireplace, a door to the wide deck overlooking the sea, and 2 steps to the kitchen and out the south side to the turn around. There is both an accessible interior 2 car garage which is heated, and has a door to the side entrance. There are ample - in fact- generous storage spaces throughout the house with walk-in his and her closets in the master, special spaces under the eaves and more. The basement is partially finished as an exercise room, and has a 55 x 11 foot space for winter wood. The furnace is both wood and oil using wood mainly but being able to run an oil with a thermostat when traveling or just away. The kitchen appliances are all quality, as is everything in the place. Whether walking the beach, relaxing on the deck, or sunning on the master bedroom's balcony, this property presents the best of Cape Breton, with a house that is extraordinary.
