Beschreibung

Local fisherman's shacks, clustered by the ocean, were the inspiration for this modern take on a traditional architectural form. A central common living pavilion, with separate sleeping quarters housed in smaller capes on either side, face south to the bold dramatic oceanfront. Beautifully executed in local stone, western red cedar, white cedar, and pine, the simple design compliments the undisturbed natural setting with utilities carefully concealed and total privacy preserved. The main house features a double sided, stone fireplace, one to the exterior and one to the interior to the full height of the cathedral ceiling. The stone for the granite counter tops of the gourmet kitchen were mined on site, and the use of stone continues for the granite facing of the foundations, the stone walkways, and terracing. The attention to detail in design for this property is exceptional. Hunts Point is part of an breathtakingly beautiful coastline from White Point Lodge and Golf Course just minutes away, to Summerville Centre, a Nova Scotia summer paradise attracting people from all points on the globe for over one hundred years.
