Description

Affordable coastal cruiser with accommodations perfect for living aboard. The O'Day 37 caused a stir when it was introduced. It was one of the first center-cockpit models less than 40 feet long that actually looked and behaved like a sailboat. The 37 was an immediate success, popular with sailing families longing for private accommodations. With a displacement of 14,000 pounds and a 6,000-pound lead keel a ballast/displacement ratio of nearly 43%, displacement / length ratio is 224 and sail area/displacement is 16.35 she is a sensible coastal cruiser. Performance is stiff and she has a good motion in a seaway.
