4 bedroom House For Sale: 5671 Banyan..

This is for the Grovite at heart - a remarkable blend of tropical boheme & South Florida vernacular in a magnificent setting dotted with walking trails, blooming orchids, and a canopy of exotic flora. A unique atrium entry with pond set the stage for this decorator's home in the quiet neighborhood often referred to as Kerwood Oaks (a proposed guard gate project will formally change the community name to 'Banyan Lakes').

Beyond a very large formal foyer are vaulted wood beam ceilings and glass walls bringing the outdoors inside to wonderful social spaces, exposing a phenomenal 'L' shaped lagoon style swimming pool, wide coral rock gazebo, and fabulous keystone terraces. Impact-resistant sliding glass doors open and 'pocket back' for ultimate entertaining. Other features include hardwood and concrete floors that are refreshingly eclectic, a wood-burning fireplace which creates formal living room ambiance, and louver windows and doors which in unison with an aluminum roof are central to this 'Old Florida' vernacular style home.

It's always about location, location, location, and this residence is in the epicenter of desirability on a no-thru street near the end of beautiful Banyan Drive. 90 acres of unspoiled park (Matheson Hammock West) lay on the north boundary of this residence, while a short walk to Snapper Creek Lakes and the infamous Wayside Market & Fruit Stand are to the south. Probably the most important and often overlooked feature of this neighborhood is the school district, which includes Pinecrest Elementary, Palmetto Middle, and Palmetto Senior High Schools all excellent 'A' schools.

With a Coral Gables address, Pinecrest Schools, and Coconut Grove Vibe this is one of the hottest homes on the market! Come see it yourself.
