4 Bedroom Town House For Sale

This property is an absolute steal but if it appeals, you'll need to move quickly. It's in the centre of Carcassonne, quietly situated in a walled garden, and the main 3 bed/2 bath house has been exquisitely renovated. It also has a one bed gîte which could do with freshening, a garden and a large garage and the whole of Carcassonne is on the doorstep.

The interior shots of the main house show the great job that has been done to bring this house bang up to date. It was built in 1908 and is a traditional, character house on 3 levels. It has mains gas-fired central heating and reversible air-conditioning, mains drainage and modern plumbing and it's double-glazed.

The house has a large entrance hall and below, a large basement. There is a very spacious sitting room with a wall-mounted open fire and french windows leading on to the South-facing terrace and a well fitted modern kitchen with built-in appliances. On the first floor, are two double bedrooms and a lovely bathroom. The entire top floor has been made into a large bedroom/dressing room with en suite shower room.

Attached to the house is a gîte which could do with refurbishment. It is entirely self-contained with separate access and consists of a sitting room, open-plan kitchen, a bedroom and bathroom.

The garden is large by town standards and has some established trees and a fishpond. There is also a large garage.

The property is situated in a quiet residential area but yet just 500 m from the nearest supermarket, shops and restaurants and all the sights of the ancient city of Cracassonne. The train station is 1 km away and the airport, with budget flights to the UK, is just 6 kms away
