General Condition
The Offshore 40 was designed as an ultimate cruising yacht. She is massively strong, with state of the art grid construction throughout, a solid glass hull, deck joined to hull by a double-flange system, and internal lead ballast encapsulated in the keel cavity. She is a moderate displacement yacht, fast, stable, and easy to handle.  
 
Actual Condition
This great offshore sailing vessel suffered saltwater intrusion due to a failed fitting on the forward A/C unit. The boat was promptly hauled. The water level had reached several inches over the cabin floor.

The waterline can be seen on the lower wood work in several of the photos. These photos were taken after the damage. The boat shows well. Much of the electrical system appears to be operating. Wind and solar power appear to be generating. It is reported the engine was free, but has not been run. This boat had many recent upgrades prior to damage. The sails and rigging appear in very good shape.

This is a great opportunity for a handy sailor to get an amazing cruiser at a very affordable price. Take a look and make your bid. You could be sailing this summer!
