JOYFUL is a cutter-rigged, stoway sloop with Herreshoff style interior and has always been meticulously maintained, updated, and equipped for bluewater cruising.  She is an outstanding example of the Hinckley tradition for enduring style, craftsmanship, and performance. Loaded (see full specs) and ready to sail away to a new home.  

  • JOYFUL features an electric stowaway main, removable cutter stay, roller-furling headsail, and controls in the cockpit for short-handed sailing.  Under motor, her 2002 Yanmar diesel engine will cruise effortlessly at 6-7 knots with a range of over 300 nautical miles.
  • 2002 Yanmar 4JH3E 56-hp (@ 3800 max) freshwater-cooled diesel inboard engine with 2:1 reduction gear, Aquamet 22 stainless steel 1.25” propeller shaft, and bronze 3-blade 17” Maxi feathering propeller.
