Vernoil le Fourrier has a baker, a supermarket/petrol filling station, a pharmacy, several bars and a post office.

The closest town is Saumur, situated some 22 km to the South. Saumur, with its elegant château, sits on the banks of the River Loire and is the home of the Cadre Noir, the French Cavalry, which puts on equestrian shows and displays throughout the Summer.

A wide variety of activities is available in the area, including fishing, at several lakes where you can “pay as you fish”; tennis, on the courts in Parcay les Pins; horse riding (if you don’t have your own horses at the property) from the stables at Vernoil le Fourrier, where you can pay by the hour or book sessions for a week; and golf, on one of the many superb courses in the area.

The property is in Area 49 of the Loire Valley and is midway between the cities of Angers and Tours. The nearest airport is Tours, which is about 40 mins drive.
