It boasts the world renown HAROLD PORTER BOTANICAL GARDENS together with the KOEGELBERG BIOSPHERE which has international status & recognition.
During WW2, the Italian prisoners of war worked on the road btw Rooiels & Bettys Bay, honing the road which today boasts one the most scenic drives in RSA.
