Opis
ITALY, TUSCANY, PISA, CASCIANA TERME
Cosy and elegant apartment on the first floor of an ancient castle-fortress in the centre of the small village of Casciana Alta, in the province of Pisa.
The apartment comprises a large living room, a dining room, a kitchenette, 2 bathrooms, a large bedroom with walk-in wardrobe.
The property has been tastefully renovated and features fine details such as frescoed ceilings, parts of the wall with exposed brick walls, antique wooden doors, all restored. Part of the property is also a large cellar on the ground floor and a panoramic garden facing south-west. Access to the garden is from the ground floor and it the ideal place for al fresco dining during the long season of sun and blue sky.
The property is suitable as a main home but has great potential for those who wish to receive an income from renting during the high season from April to October.
The building is located in the heart of Casciana Alta and you can walk across the village through the narrow and ancient streets, stop for a coffee at the cafe', go to the grocery store, to the post office, the bank. Nothing is missing in this typical Tuscan location.
The name Casciana Alta is to distinguish it from Casciana Terme, a spa town a few kilometres away, famous for its thermal waters. Casciana is rich in history such as the remains of fortresses, eighteenth and nineteenth century palaces, the Municipal Theatre and the Parish Church of St Nicholas.
