Location

The small town of Souda has about 5.500 inhabitants and is located east of Chania.

The town has a port which is the second biggest of Crete and one of the biggest ports of Greece; daily and regular ferry services are connecting Souda to the harbour of Piraeus.

Today one can visit the still existing Turkish settles, the fish harbour but most of all you can visit the Alien¢s Cemetery of Vlites Souda. 7km east of Souda you can reach Kalami, a small village with a few traditional houses and panoramic view on the bay.

The harbour of Souda is south of the large peninsula of Akrotiri.
