Descriere

Koh Yao Noi is the smaller sister of Koh Yao Yai but is still the administrative head quarter of the two as Koh Yao is an independent district in the province of Phang Nga.

As the government invested great amounts of money into these two islands, Koh Yao Noi enjoys an infrastructure making most islands in Thailand jealous. Electricity was supplied a decade ago, and the locals can enjoy a number of local schools, a great road network, a large hospital etc.

Lately, tourism has also arrived on the island with great resorts such as Six Senses, Paradise Resort, Ko Yao Island Resort,etc. With spectacular views, natural beauty and easy accessability, Koh Yao Noi has become a favourite to many travelers. The island is easily accessible by public ferries and speedboats every hour from both Phuket and Krabi.
