San Salvo is a town in Chieti province with 19.430 inhabitants close to the adriatic coast. It was inhabitated since the prehistoric period (as can be seen from the finds in the Trigno's area and in the Square San Vitale), this village was a very important center also during the roman period as can be seen from the many churches and palazzi in the old town. San Salvo is one hour from the airport of Pescara, 3h 15 mins from the international airport of Rome, 1h 20mins from the skiing slopes of Capracotta.
