Opis

A rare and historic water mill of medieval origin rebuilt in 1703. This mill retains virtually all its original machinery and last produced flour in 1993. This is an exceptional opportunity to acquire a unique building and reinstate a largely original 16th Cent mill. With the added possibility of creating an ORGANIC flour milling business at the same time.
This mill house is built of brick and stone and is divided between the mill on the ground floor and the living accomodation of approximately 200 sq mts on the second and third floors above. There are many fine original features including well vaulted brick arches in the mill workshop and beamed ceilings everywhere else. The house sits on a plot of approximately 1000 sq mts. Access is via a short white road, 75 mts to the main tarmac road. The white road is shared with one other house and the water company.
The water supplying the power to the two pairs of grinding wheels is chanelled from the river and runs under the mill. The water uses gravity rather than a mill dam to generate the power flow. The mill is some 7 kms from a busy market town with all the usual shops, schools and other facilities. Ancona Falconara airport is a 1 hour drive away.
