This lovely house, which is in excellent condition having recently been largely updated and redecorated, sits on the edge of the forest within the Normandie Maine National Park.

The main part of the house has an entrance, which is reached via a covered veranda, and leads into a hallway, where there is a large under-stairs cupboard, and off which is a fully fitted kitchen with gas hob, electric oven and dishwasher.

The lounge is L shaped with a large fireplace and three French windows leading out to the garden.

An inner hallway leads to three bedrooms, two of which also have French windows, a recently installed bathroom and toilet. One of the bedrooms also has a handy washbasin.

On the ground floor and attached to the house is an annexe which can be accessed either through the house or by its own front door. The garden is a mature 'jardin de cure' which is similar to what most people think of as an English country garden. It is a beautiful garden, with a wide variety of trees, shrubs and flowers, providing interest all the year round. It has on several occasions been open to the public under the local garden scheme. The layout includes a vegetable garden, a fir wood which in the spring hosts a carpet of snowdrops followed later by a lovely display of bluebells.

The field at the back of the property would be big enough to house small livestock (e.g. hens, goats, or a few sheep or a pony). Alternatively, given the appropriate permissions, it could be used to accommodate further guests, (camp site, caravans or chalets).

In addition to the house and garden there is a small parcel of forest which belongs to the property. This would provide firewood, or a keen naturalist might wish to put up a hide and see what wildlife passes through.

The house is well insulated and double glazed throughout. The central heating is controlled by a timer.
