A very family orientated town which has led to Morzine becoming an increasingly popular destination for families with children of all ages. The location could not be better

With all of this it is not surprising that property prices here are increasing. They remain one of the lowest prices per m2 in comparison to other ski areas within the same vicinity of Geneva. If you were thinking of renting for part of the year then Morzine has an excellent rental market. Whilst winters at present offer the best rental return period, the summers are becoming increasingly busy as Morzine firmly establishes itself as an all year round destination.
The Portes du Soleil area has over 650km of marked piste with plenty of off piste skiing too across 2 countries, France and Switzerland.
Not surprisingly the amenities within the town are the focus for many of the smaller villages surrounding Morzine. Currently in Morzine there are around 3000 residents, 60 hotels, 47 restaurants, 20 ski shops, a language school and many bars. Money continues to be invested into the infrastructure and recently the new indoor pool complex opened which is open throughout the year.
Within the Porte du Soleil, Morzine has established itself as the leading resort, geographically located in the middle allowing ease of access to the entire ski area of the Porte du Soleil.
Amongst Europe's top performers is Morzine, a resort which arguably comes the closest to being recognised as a truly year-round destination and one that is investing heavily in its infrastructure. Luxury property prices here rose by 6.7% in the year to June 2014.
