Campanet is a small town in the north east of the island around 30 minutes’ drive from the Cosmopolitan city of Palma. Campanet is a small residential town with the basic shops and a weekly market. The nearest large town is Inca, famous for its leather goods. The major attractions of Campanet is its intrinsic beauty, being a delight to walk around with its narrow streets and authentic Majorcan architecture. The caves of Campanet were recently discovered in 1945. This is a good area for hiking as there are both flat and more difficult routes to try with stunning mountain scenery. If you feel like a day at the beach, the major resorts of Alcudia and Pollensa are within easy reach. Also suitable is the main wine region of Binissalem. There are few restaurants at Campanet, however the excellent road links means that great food is very close by in the resorts of Alcudia and Pollensa and nearby Buger. Due to the excellent infrastructure, the cosmopolitan capital of the island, Palma, is within easy reach.
