Description:

Our client is looking to recruit an Operational Tax Specialist to monitor documentation for accounts; ensuring correct income is paid and accurate regulatory reporting. They will look for ways to reduce risks by recommending the introduction of new controls and procedures where required. They would be involved in a number of different tasks in particular, documenting new processes training and identifying efficiencies.

Person Specification:

Experience in a similar role dealing with technical tax queries as well as monitoring documentation for accounts; ensuring correct income is paid and accurate regulatory reporting

The candidate will ideally have an understanding of relevant taxes affecting private clients (e.g. CGT)

Experience in participating in projects on tax related subjects

The ability to identify tax risk which occurs in own work, understands the relevant local procedure aimed at controlling risk and consistently work within these controls

Set and work to own targets and deadlines when managerial direction is not readily available without compromising quality

Understanding when and how to escalate issues as required
