This Wine Estate is located 20 mins. from Lisbon in the hills of Serra da Arrabida Hills, a short chain of mountains running along the south coast of the Setubal peninsula. Located on the northern shore of the Sado River estuary, with the Mediterranean-like vegetation and microclimate. Two of the park's beaches -Portinho da Arrabida and Figuerinha- are popular among the inhabitants of Lisbon and Setubal. The total area is of 30 ha, vineyard area of 16 ha, building area of 11278 m2, Villa area 234 m2 and Cellar/Farm storage of 977m2.

This wine region, Peninsula de Setubal, is more-like a flat and sandy area, except for the Serra da Arrabida, a chain of mountains running along the south coast of the peninsula. It is on these 'Serra da Arrabida' slopes that the grapes are grow for the famous sweet Moscatel de Setubal wines.
There are two DOCs (Denomination of Controlled Origin), Setubal and Palmela: Setubal is sweet and fortified, made primarily from the Muscat of Alexandria grape, and Palmela is mainly red, based on the late-ripering Castelao grape, make wines of complexity and depth, elegance and balance, with good cherry fruit. Also, there are other distinct name: Peninsula de Setubal, IG (Geographical Indication).

In the course of the history, Setubal have acquired an enormous prestige and importance in the wine industry. The region has also become an excellent tourist destination, thanks in part to its numerous natural parks, protected by multiple associations such Arrabida Natural Park, D. Luis Saldanha Marine Park, Sado Estuary Natural Reserve and the Protected Fossil Cliffs Area of Caparica as well as various other sites of the Natura 2000 ecological network, etc. The area also has a heritage rich in diversity and historical notoriety, a good example being the Arrabida mountain area that was acknowledged as a Natural and Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The culture of vine and wine have also integrated and adapted well to modern time, being unanimously recognized as one of the "jewels" of the region, an important resource and (eno)tourism product.
