Kookaburra Village is located at 123 Mark Road East (off Daniel St) Caloundra West and is a gated Village for the active and independent over 50's age group. .

Established in 1993 as a gated home park for active, independent people over 50 there are now in excess of 200 residents at Kookaburra Village. Set in palm filled sub-tropical surroundings a custodian lives on site at this gated over 50 lifestyle Village. There are two recreation halls and barbeque areas. The resurfaced competition standard bowls rink and the residents only solar heated pool are adjacent to the Village hall whilst the Annexe hall has wide shady verandahs and includes a residents lounge, a kitchen with stainless steel appliances and houses thed popular Craft Group. Disabled access, toilet facilities and visitor parking is provided.

There is a social club which organizes interesting activities including bowls; craft; social events and other opportunities for residents to mingle. In addition there is a Library, a free to use woodwork workshop; pool/darts room and a bocce court. A podiatrist visits the Village approx 8 weekly;a hairdresser is available by appointment on Wednesday and Thursday and Free Hearing Australia tests are available monthly.

A Translink bus service runs hourly in daylight hours on Mark Road, and on Thursday mornings the Village bus transports residents requiring transport from several Village locations to meet the 8.30am bus and returns residents to their homes from the bus stop at about 11.20am.
