House
Ground floor
The front door opens to the entrance hall (7m x 1.3m = 9 sq m) with high wainscoting. To the left of the hall a door opens to a sitting room (4.9m x 3.7m = 18 sq m) with an attractive fireplace.
To the right of the hall door opens to an elegant double reception room with sitting area (4.6m x 3.5m = 16 sq m) and a dining area (5.6m x 3.6m = 20 sq m) with wooden floor. The sitting area has a range of attractive bookcases and the dining area has a pair of glazed doors opening onto the garden. To the side of the dining area a door opens to the kitchen (5m x 3.2m = 16 sq m) with tiled floor and a range of modern fitted kitchen units and plenty of space for a good-size kitchen table. From the kitchen a pair of glazed doors opens back into the main entrance hall.
First floor
A wooden staircase rises from the entrance hall to the first floor landing with its original wooden flooring. Off the landing are three spacious double-bedrooms (5.3m x 3.5m = 18.5 sq m, 5.1m x 3.5m = 17.5 sq m and 4.8m x 3.6m = 17 sq m). Also off the landing are a modern shower room (walk-in shower, wash-basin) and a separate WC.
A short corridor leads off from the landing to the master bedroom suite which comprises a dressing room (3.6m x 2.7m = 9.5 sq m), a bedroom (5.1m x 3.6m = 18 sq m) and a bathroom (bath, wash-basin and WC).
Attic
The staircase continues to the large attic. There is plenty of space for further development if desired (and subject to any relevant permissions).
Cellar
A door from the entrance hall provides access to the extensive cellars below the house.
Exterior
A door to the side of the kitchen opens to a large covered passage which provides access to the garden from the street and which is currently used as covered parking. To one corner of this room is a WC. To the rear a door opens to the garden (which is also accessible from the dining area). The garden has been prettily landscaped with a lawn and mature flower borders.
To one corner of the garden is a two-storey outbuilding which provides useful storage and workshop space on the ground floor - the first floor was previously used as an artist's studio.
This is a handsome house in the very heart of this popular little town within easy walking distance of the shops, bars and restaurants.
