4 bedroom restored house with a stream in Castanheira de Pera. This lovely restored stone house is located only 5 minutes from Castanheira de Pera, it sits on a short good dirt track with only two more houses further down the lane, where the lane stops. It has a very nice private feel, but yet close to town. The very good sized land is all around the house, both at the back and in front, the bigger part is in the front with a big flat terrace leading to the stream that flows all around the land and all year. The courtyard and the house is south facing, from the courtyard is a wide track that leads down towards the first terrace, here you have a big spacious animal pen with separate pens inside, it used to be a dog kennel. Further down is the biggest flat terrace, perfect for growing as this part is close to the stream and makes watering easy. Here is also a well, this water feeds the water up to the house with a pump. On the land is many fruit trees such as plum, apple, cherry, quince, pear, chestnut, 30 olive trees and grape wine.

Electricity and telephone is connected, a septic tank is in place. Water is at the moment used from the well, which is pumped up to storage tanks at the back of the property. Mains water is close by and can be connected. Washing machine, cooker, fridge, boiler and the wood burner is included in the price.

In Castanheira de Pera you will find cafes and bars, resturantes, post office, doctor's,schools, weekly market, plenty of river beaches and a famous swimming pool called Praia de Rochas. Both Porto and Lisbon is around a 2 hour drive away and Coimbra, Portugal's third biggest city is a drive of around 35 minutes. The seaside is around 45 minutes away.
