This property offers two houses attached to each other with separate entrances, out building with an old bread oven and a fallen down ruin, which used to be for the animals. The oldest house being over 70 years old and is the one closest to the little cobbled street. The newer house is 40 years old. Both these houses are the last house on the little cobbled street with a few neighbours, beyond is only forest. At the moment you enter both houses from the cobbled street, either through the gate leading to the staircase and the veranda or through the car gate into the courtyard.

The oldest house:

You will enter into a hallway with a dining room to your left and the kitchen with a fireplace to you right. Further along the hallway you have two small bedrooms opposite each other, before entering the living room. Off from the living room there is another small bedroom. Underneath you will find a good size storage room and the wine room called 'Adega'. From the wine room you have two doors leading out to the cobbled street. Being the oldest house it is all built in thick stone walls and floors are in wood. This house is connected to electricity but has no bathroom and no water.

The newer house:

From the same veranda as the older house you will have another entrance that leads into a good size hallway with the bathroom to your left. The good size dining room with a fully working kitchen with a fireplace is to your right. Back to the hallway you will have a living room with a wood burner and two good size bedrooms, at the end of the hallway is the separate entrance to this newer house. As being the newer house this top part is built with brick and concrete, with good tile flooring all through out. The foundation is made of the same as the older house, thick stone walls. Underneath this house is one smaller storage room and one very good size storage room, currently used as a workshop. This newer house is connected to electricity, mains water and sewage is on the street. Telephone is just outside.

The courtyard has a barbecue area and a separate house which has an old style bread oven and is covered with Kiwi as a roof. Through the courtyard you enter into the land that is of a good size with very nice views and into the old ruin where they used to keep the animals.

In Castanheira de Pera you will find schools, doctor's, mini supermarkets, butchers, cafes, resturantes a big outdoor swimming pool called Praia de Rochas and plenty of riverbeaches. Coimbra, Portugal's third biggest city is 35 minutes away and both Lisbon and Porto is just under 2 hours.
