Portimao

Portimao is the Algarve's second largest city with a population of approximately 70,000 residents. During much of the last Century the town was a centrepiece of the Algarve's fishing industry. Today only the chimneys remain, which cannot be demolished as they are breeding grounds for the many storks in the area.
