The \"CORY\" was converted to Full Diesel-Electric - driven by 5 1,500 kW CAT 3516's. All Machinery is Shock-Mounted for low Vibration (Mil Spec). The Switchboard was Upgraded for DP2 usage in 2012. There is 352,551 Gallons of Fuel for Long-Range Missions and Fuel Transfer capability.
The 4 DC Propulsion Engines (Submarine Eng. supplied by the US Navy) are installed In-Line (2 @ P& S), turning 2 Shafts with Independent Steering.
On the Center-Line of the Main Deck is a large \"MOONPOOL\" (Originally used by the NAVY SEALS to launch Mini-Subs), which now can be used to launch and retrieve all kinds of equipment.
The Superstructure over the Main Deck is a Hanger - which can be used for multiple purposes, including conversion into a \"Living Quarters\" Module of over 4,000 Sq. Ft. And below deck is another Equal-Sized \"Operations Module\" with room for Laboratory, Research, and over 16 Staterooms.
