The 1972 Bertram 46 Motor Yacht, \"Barbill IV\", is remarkable in it's history. For \"Barbill IV\", the outstanding part is the low hours on the original main engines and Genset. The owner, now deceased, owned a boatyard in Connecticut, with all of the resources immediately available to look after this yacht. One of his sons is a dealer in Ft. Lauderdale for diesel gensets and consignment and had access to the best diesel mechanics in the United States. Aside from the excellent construction of the Bertram yachts, the B-46 has great performance capable of top speed of roughly 22 knots.
