Replacing the popular 55 Super Sport in 1991, the 53 SuperSport was built on an all-new Ocean hull design with a sharper entry and slightly increased transom deadrise. The hull changes make the Ocean 53 a generally better head-sea boat than her predecessor with a notably drier ride. Several floorplans were offered over the years, the three-stateroom layouts have been the most popular. The deckhouse leaves plenty of room for entertaining, and the luxurious furnishings and teak woodwork create a very inviting atmosphere. A transom door was standard in the cockpit, and the fish box was repositioned behind the chair for improved access to the rudder posts. Boasting a well-arranged engine room, and cockpit controls.
