BRITTANY - Near Pontivy - Small..

Located in the countryside of Guern and the Sarre Valley, in a small hamlet, you will find this country manor house with a separate cottage and 1/2 acre of garden. The manor was built in 1633 and offers on the ground floor, entrance hall, large “living room” with feature fireplace and provision for a fitted kitchen to the far end; then there is a study, utility room and wine cellar. The first floor is one large living room of 35 m2 with fitted kitchen, then in the loft area you have a nice master bedroom with private shower room. Above the “living room” is an unused second floor and loft space, which gives the possibility of considerably increasing the present accommodation. The cottage offers a large living room on the ground floor with lounge area around the fireplace and fitted kitchen area. Upstairs you have a bedroom, a mezzanine and a bathroom with WC.The two parts are joined with what I can only call a carport/workshop, but which is a lot more than that. It was built in 2017 and is based on drawings of wooden buildings of the same era as the rest of the property. Only an expert will recognise the quality of the craftsmanship. The part really binds the property together and makes it quite a unique character home.Set in 1/2 acre of garden on two levels and surrounded by centennial oaks and chestnut trees.
