The village does have several bars and restaurants as well as a small supermarket and bank. The streets can be quite steep in places and a car would be recommended if you wanted to explore other local villages or the nearest beaches of Mojacar, Garrucha and Vera at around 15 minutes away.

Only 150 metres from the house there is a municipal swimming pool that opens in July and August and can be used for a nominal fee of around a Euro per day.

Airport transfer times from Almeria and Murcia are approximately 50 minutes and 1 1/2 hours respectively.
