Description

As you drive along scenic Route 1 the white cupola of Churchill Mansion can be seen from a distance. Perched on a hilltop with clear views of Darlings Lake the mansion has been a landmark since 1889. Built by Captain Aaron Churchill as a summer retreat the current owners have restored it to its former glory while considering the needs of the 21st century. Extensive renovations have created an elegant yet relaxed 5 star B & B minutes from the town of Yarmouth. The main floor offers 11 foot ceilings, wood floors, nine foot pocket doors, a modern kitchen, dining and breakfast room as well as a wrap-around veranda. Most of these rooms take full advantage of the lake views. The Mirror Rooms, now living room and library, are exact replicas of each other including marble fireplaces. On the second floor you will find three elegant five star guest rooms with stunning ensuite baths. A fourth guest room is being completed. As well a hall leads to the owners' quarters and laundry. Rounding out the property is the fully renovated guest cottage. The entire mansion has had new wiring and plumbing as well as windows, roof and so much more. This is your chance to own a part of NS history in a stunning location.
