6 bedroom House For Sale: 45..

A rare and wonderful opportunity to own a residence in the popular Harbourview community in Smiths Cove. The same family has owned this property since the 1960s when it operated as a dance hall, then was converted to holiday rentals. In the 1990s it was remodeled and served as a summer home for family. In 2009/10 the owners completed an extensive renovation and expansion, creating a sophisticated 1900 sq. ft. residence for comfortable year-round living. This included a custom oak kitchen with cork tile floor, oak shelving and built-ins, engineered hardwood floors, a new (insulated) sunroom, and a large master suite with oversized walk-in closet and study. Above the study you can climb the stairs to a tower room: a tranquil hideaway offering beautiful views of the countryside. The spacious second bedroom in the main living area has its own ensuite bath. The newly renovated section connects to the back of the house, an additional 1200 sq. ft. of self-contained living space, perfect for visiting family or to rent as a holiday rental. A full kitchen, dining and living area with access to the deck and a gorgeous screened porch, plus two bedrooms, one with ensuite and a private deck. If all this isn't enough, the basement level also offers another 2 bedroom guest suite, office space, garage, and large workshop. All this on a beautifully landscaped 2.43 acre lot, circular drive, and quick access to the community pool, tennis court, and the beach. (With free membership). This property has been meticulously cared for and must be viewed in order to fully appreciate what is being offered.
