Benillup is a small town in Valencia, Spain, located in the north of the province of Alicante, in Region of County of Cocentaina. It is located 74 kilometers from Alicante, Northern border are Benimarfull Almudaina, at East is Almudaina and Eest and South is Millena.

Its economy is based primarily on agriculture. The major crops are olive trees, to make olive oil, almonds and cherries. The village is small and is very well preserved. The main reference is the monumental church of the Virgen del Rosario. This church has a square bell tower. On one side there is a mural depicting a sundial and one of its bells. Many of the roads are used for training by professional teams (Astana have been seen regularly), and several roads have been used by the Vuelta a Espana.

The celebrations take several days and are the most famous around the entire Costa Blanca. If you have a chance to see it, mark it red in your calendar, it's an absolute 'must see' for every tourist and local. Alcoy itself is worth a visit and got lots of sightseeing places to see. Especially the Plaza de Espana with its city hall (from 1861) and the church of Santa Maria.
